Short answer: a custom star map is a print of the night sky as it appeared over a specific place, on a specific date and time. You approve a proof of the canvas before anything is printed.
What is a star map print?
A star map (also called a night sky print or constellation map) shows the stars and constellations that were above a chosen location at a chosen moment. People use the date of a wedding, a first date, a proposal, a birth, or the night they lost someone. We compute the star positions from a public star catalog for the date, time and place you give us, then lay out the chart with your dedication, the place name and the date.
It is a careful approximation made as a gift. It is not a telescope photo, not hand-painted, and not a scientific instrument or planetarium certificate.

What can I personalize?
- Date (required) and place (required, any city or town in the world).
- Time (optional). If you leave it blank we use 9:00 pm local time.
- Up to three lines of text, about 30 characters each, for a dedication.
- Style: Bold statement, Premium navy gold, or Modern minimal.
Do I see it before it is printed?
Yes, for the canvas. We email you a proof of your star map and printing starts only after you approve it. If something looks off, reply and we fix it first. You can edit or cancel for free before production starts (roughly the first 12 hours).
Who prints and ships it, and how long does it take?
We create your map and proof. Our print partner Printful prints the canvas at the facility closest to you, in the US, Canada, the UK, the EU or Australia, and ships it to you.
- Printing: 2 to 5 business days after you approve the proof.
- Delivery: usually 3 to 4 business days in the US and Canada, and about 5 to 20 business days elsewhere.
- Shipping is a flat rate per country, shown at checkout. Prices are in USD. Orders to countries outside the US, Canada, UK, EU and Australia may owe import duties.

What if it arrives damaged?
Each canvas is made to order, so we do not accept returns for change of mind. If it arrives damaged, defective, misprinted or wrong, email us within 30 days of delivery with a clear photo and we will send a free replacement or a full refund. How do I hang or frame it?
The canvas is gallery-wrapped (the print wraps around the edges of the wooden frame), so it is designed to hang without a separate frame. For the digital file, print the size you want at home or at any print shop and use a standard 8x10, 11x14 or 16x20 frame (frame not included).
